the ColorSpan Image Utility or Downloader Utility are printed.
For details, refer to the System Control User Guide and the Print-
ing Tools User Guide.
You can see how the image will look before printing by checking
its Preview in the Output queue.
RIP Options
Image Quality — Select the image quality based on how fast you
want the job to RIP and print, the resolution required, and the
quality of gradients required. Unless designated 600x300, all
print modes print at 600x600 dpi resolution. No adjustments at
the printer are necessary to print in the 600x300 modes. You can
choose from:
◆ SmoothTone Full Page — highest quality, applies SmoothTone
error diffusion to all elements on the page. Yields the best
color matching.
◆ SmoothTone Full Page 600x300 — RIPs the job with Smooth-
Tone error diffusion, but at a lower vertical resolution for
faster printing. Jobs RIPed at 600x300 are identified with a
“6x3” icon in output and RIP Saver queues.
◆ ICC SmoothTone Full Page — RIPs the job with SmoothTone
error diffusion for an ICC workflow.
◆ ICC SmoothTone Full Page 600x300 — same as ICC Smooth-
Tone Full Page, but at a lower vertical resolution for faster
printing.
◆ Mural Better — image quality is very close to SmoothTone Full
Page, but RIP times are much faster. Switch to SmoothTone
