HP CalcPad 200
Features
The keypad layout of the CalcPad 200 is similar to
the standard PC 10-key numeric pad.
The keypad includes basic mathematical functions:
addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and
percent.
The CalcPad 200 is compatible with many Microsoft
Windows® applications: 98, 98 SE, NT, and ME,
as well as 2000 Professional and XP.
The CalcPad 200 has two additional USB ports and
may be used as a hub for any USB-compatible PC
peripherals.
The CalcPad 200 can be used as a security keypad
to enter pin numbers, or to enter menu options as
long as your system is compatible with a standard
PC 10-key numeric keypad.
The CalcPad 200 supports plug and play.
The CalcPad 200 also works with Apple computers®,
Apple Macintosh® products, and most computers
that support the USB protocol.
Installation
To install the CalcPad 200 onb your PC, simply download the
driver for your product at
http://driveis.hpcalculating.com.
Once installed, this software permits you to:
Launch commonly used applications on your PC
from the CalcPad.
Choose an HP calculator emulator for use with the
CalcPad.
Select and set a default calculator to load whenever
your PC is turned on.
Once the initial install is complete, you may plug the
CalcPad into any USB port on your PC. Insert the end of
the enclosed cable with the small plug into the CalcPad
and the large plug into a USB port on your PC.
Launching applications
Once the CalcPad has been installed, press the hot keys,
|Word|, I Excel I, |Desktop|, |HPCalc| ,,q and toggle
between the following applications installed on your PC:
Microsoft Word®, Microsoft Excel®, the Desktop, and HP
Calculator software. Note: the applications listed must be
installed on your PC prior to using the hot keys on the
CalcPad. Microsoft Word and Excel are registered
trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft software
applications are not included with this product.
Basic Key Functions
1. Press the ON/AC key , |ON/AC|, to turn on the
CalcPad 200. ^^
2. Press the PC/Calculator key, |PC/Cal| , to toggle
between the PC and CalcPad:
In PC mode, PC USB displays on the CalcPad's LCD
screen, and keys pressed on the CalcPad are
displayed on the selected emulator or application
on the PC.
In Cal mode, keys pressed on the CalcPad are
displayed on the CalcPad's LCD screen. Displayed
data may be sent to the active PC application or
emulator by pressing the send key, |$end|, on the
CalcPad.
3. Press to clear the display.
4. Press the double zero key, ll
with multiple zeros.
5. Press the backspace key.

J, to delete one
number at a time, starting with the last number
entered.
6. Press the directianal arrow keys, [i],[.^],[f ],[ | ]
to position the cursor for deleting, editing and inserting
numbers in PC made.
7. Press the number lack key, [Num Ik], ta activate/
deactivate the numbered keys and access the secondary
key functions in PC mode. When number lock is active,
NumLock is displayed on the CalcPad's LCD screen.
8. The CalcPad 200 turns off automatically after eight
minutes if not in use.

Information
Changing the Battery
This product has two power sources:
• Solar energy
•AG 13 (1.5V battery)
When the LCD display becomes blurry or difficult
to read, you may rely on solar power, or change the
battery. Change the battery with the power turned off.
To change the battery:
1. Unscrew the battery compartment on the back
of the CalcPad 200 with a small screwdriver.
2. Using the screwdriver, or other small, pointed
object, carefully pry out the battery by inserting
the tool into the slot next to the battery and lifting
the bottom of the battery.
Note: forcing the battery out may damage the
unit.
3. Insert the new battery into edge of the
compartment furthest from the slot, and then
gently press it into the battery compartment with
the positive polarity symbol facing outward.
Do not use rechargeable batteries. Use only new
batteries, and dispose of old batteries properly.
Warning! Throwing old batteries into flame or
fire may cause an explosion.
4. Replace the battery cover.
