4. Turn the printhead lift lever counterclockwise to raise the printhead.
5. Rotate the platen roller latch clockwise to detach it from the printer and pull
the platen roller away from the printer.
6. Insert the new platen roller into the printer and secure it by turning the latch
counterclockwise.
7. Reload media and turn the printhead lift lever clockwise it lower it.
8. Close the media cover, reconnect power, and turn on the printer.
Adjust the Printer
You many need to adjust your printer to accommodate how you are printing or to
improve printer performance. You can make these adjustments on the printer:
• Ribbon wrinkling
• Printhead balance
• Printhead pressure
• Label taken sensor
• Label gap sensor and label mark sensor
Prevent Ribbon Wrinkling
If you have problems with the thermal transfer ribbon getting wrinkled, try adjust-
ing the ribbon tension bar.
1. Open the media cover.
2. Use a large straight-slot screwdriver to adjust the ribbon tension bar.
• Turn the tension bar screw clockwise to move the bar backward and decrease
the tension.
