What you need:
1. Knife or scissors
2. Stapler and staples (for wood subfloor) or double sided tape (concrete subfloor)
3. Measuring tape
4. Straight edge
Procedure:
Note: The adhesive tape is located on the top side of the underlayment.
1. Position the roll so that:
a. The adhesive strip of the underlayment is adjacent to the starter wall.
b. The top side of the underlayment is facing the ceiling.
2. Position the leading edge of the roll approximately 1” from the starter wall.
3. Unroll the underlayment until it reaches the opposite wall.
4. Cut the underlayment approximately 1” from the wall.
5. If needed, staple the underlayment at a few places (wood subfloor) or use double sided tape (concrete subfloor) to
keep it stationary while you are laying the flooring.
6. Begin laying the rows of flooring covering the underlayment but leaving enough of it exposed to start the next row of
flooring.
7. Unroll another section of the underlayment and cut to size.
8. Position the adhesive side of the new section next to the previous section, butting the edges together.
9. Peel the adhesive protective tape exposing the adhesive strip.
10. Unfold the seam overlap film strip of the previous section of the underlayment.
11. Place it over the adhesive strip of the new section.
12. Starting from one end, adhere underlayment and overlap film with firm pressure.
13. Repeat steps 7 - 13.
14. The last section may require the width to be trimmed to fit the available space.
Remember to allow a 1” space between the edge of the underlayment and the wall.
