Insert the previously installed Cam Lock Screws (BB) on the Base Front Rail (M) into the pre-drilled holes of each side rail (K,L). Secure the screws with Cam Lock Connectors (CC) using a Phillips screwdriver.
Assembly (continued) 21 Attaching the surround bracket 22 Preparing the top assembly Insert Wood Dowels (AA) into the pre-drilled holes in the top edge of the Base/Center assembly as shown. Find the Metal Plate (OO) on the back of the Top Surround Rail (F). Rotate the Metal Plate (OO) to span the joint and secure with a Screw (GG) on the Left Surround Rail (D). Repeat for the Right Surround Rail (E) to secure on the other side.
Assembly (continued) 25 Preparing the top panel 26 Preparing the Upper Surround Rail Insert Cam Lock Screws (BB) into the Upper Surround Rail (V, W) as indicated in the diagram. Tighten using a Phillips Screwdriver. Next, insert Wood Dowels (AA) into the pre-drilled holes of the Upper Surround Rail (V, W) as shown. Insert Cam Lock Screws (BB) into the Fixed Shelf (N) as indicated in the diagram. Tighten using a Phillips Screwdriver.
Assembly (continued) 29 Attaching the upper partition Align the Upper Partition (P) with the previously installed wooden dowel and cam lock screws on the Center Shelf (N). Using the Cam Lock Connectors (CC). Tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. From underneath, insert the Screws (HH) through the Fixed Shelf (N) and into the Upper Partition (P). Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten until screws are secure.
Assembly (continued) 33 Cover screws 34 Installing the back panels Push Plastic Covers (II) into the screw hole openings of areas that have already been assembled. Attach the Upper Back Panel (Q) and Back Panels (R) to the assembly by inserting the Screws (GG) through the pre-drilled holes in the Upper Back Panel (Q) and the Back Panels (R) and into the assembly. Tighten using a Phillips Screwdriver.
Assembly (continued) 37 Attaching the doors Slide the installed Euro Hinge on the Left Door (S) into the left side of the main assembly on the Left Side Panel as shown. Secure the hinge with the preattached screw. Repeat for the Right Door (T) on the right side of the main assembly on the Right Side Panel. T S 38 Attaching the adjustable shelves Insert the Shelf Pins (DD) into the pre-drilled holes on the inside of the Left Side Panel (H) and the Left Partition (B).
Assembly (continued) 39 Installing the fireplace insert Lift the Fireplace Insert (V) carefully into the back of the unit and center in the fireplace insert opening. Do not drag the fireplace insert across the Bottom Shelf (A), as it may scratch your unit. Assembly (continued) 41 Installing the tipping restraint hardware When the Tipping Restraint Hardware (NN) is properly installed, it can provide protection against unexpected tipping of the Unit due to small tremors, bumps or climbing. Your Unit comes with two Tipping Restraint Hardware (NN). Each Tipping Restraint Hardware (NN) includes one Unit Anchor, one Wall Anchor, one Anchor Tether, and four Anchor Screws. Use these to complete the following steps for a proper installation.
Operation Operation NOTE: The control panel can be accessed at the upper-right corner of the insert. 1 Powering the fireplace 2 Push the Power button to supply power to all functions of the fireplace and put the insert in a standby mode. Push the Power button again to turn off all functions. Adjusting the flame There are 6 brightness levels that can be selected: Settings F6 - F4 decrease in Amber brightness. Settings F3 - F1 decrease in Spectrafire brightness.
Operation (continued) 5 Replacing the remote control battery 6 Disposing of used batteries The battery may contain hazardous substances that could endanger the environment and human health. When the remote control stops operating or its range seems reduced, it is time to replace the battery with new ones. On the back end of the remote, press and slide the battery door open and remove the old battery. Insert 2 AAA batteries, checking that the + and sides of the battery match inside the battery compartment.

Troubleshooting PROBLEM ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION Display shows " " The thermostat sensor is broken or disconnected. Unplug the fireplace, remove the back panel of the fireplace and check that the thermostat is plugged into the main circuit board. If this does not solve the problem contact customer service for a replacement thermostat sensor. Display shows " " The thermostat sensor is broken. Troubleshooting (continued) PROBLEM Flame effect works but heater function does not and the emberbed flashes when the Heater button is pressed. ROOT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION The heater is disabled. With the power on press and hold the POWER button on the control panel for 10 seconds. Once re-enabled the emberbed lights will flash multiple times. There are no batteries. Change the remote batteries. The signal is poor. Operate remote transmitter at a slow measured pace.
