Plug USB mouse into one of the USB interfaces on the front panel of the device. 2. The mouse should automatically be detected. If in a rare case that the mouse is not detected, the possible reason may be that the two devices are not compatible, please refer to the recommended device list from your provider.

User Manual of DS-7200/7300/8100-SH Series DVR 2.1 Using the Wizard for Basic Configuration The Setup Wizard can walk you through some important settings of the device. By default, the Setup Wizard starts once the device has loaded. Operating the Setup Wizard: 1. Select the system resolution from the drop-down menu. The default resolution is 1280×1024/60Hz. Before you can get a live view or record of the video, you should add the network cameras to the connection list of the device. Before you start: Ensure the network connection is valid and correct.

The device automatically enters Live View mode when powered on. It is also at the very top of the menu hierarchy, thus pressing the ESC many times (depending on which menu you’re on) brings you to the Live View mode.

Multi-screen: showing multiple screens on the monitor simultaneously. Auto-switch: the screen is auto switched to the next one. And you must set the dwell time for each screen on the configuration menu before enabling the auto-switch. Menu>Configuration>Live View>Dwell Time.

Three exception types can be diagnosed: Blurred Image, Abnormal Brightness and Color Cast. You can enter Menu> Camera> Video Quality Diagnostics to adjust the value of the Blurred Image, Abnormal Brightness and Color Cast.

Purpose: Follow the procedure to set the parameters for PTZ. The configuring of the PTZ parameters should be done before you control the PTZ camera. Before you start: For connection to the analog camera/dome, please check that the PTZ and the device are connected properly through RS-485 interface. Steps: 1. Enter the PTZ Settings interface.

Only PTZ Protocol can be configured for network cameras. Example: If the PTZ camera has a Baud rate as 115200, you should input 115200 in the Baud Rate field. For the DS-7200HWI-E1(2)/C, Select the PTZ protocol to HIKVISION-C (Coaxitron) or PELCO-C (Coaxitron). Make sure the protocol selected here is supported by the connected camera.

Customizing Presets Purpose: A preset is a predefined image position which contains information of pan, tilt, focus and other parameters. Device parameters can be configured by using software such as HyperTerminal. The serial port parameters must be the same as the device’s when connecting with the PC serial port.

Possible Reasons a) No VGA or HDMI connections. b) Connection cable is damaged. c) Input mode of the monitor is incorrect. Steps 1. Verify the device is connected with the monitor via HDMI or VGA cable. If not, please connect the device with the monitor and reboot. 2. Verify the connection cable is good.

Select “Menu > Record > Parameters > Record”, and set the resolution of Main Stream (Event) the same as the one of Main Stream (Continuous).

Select “Menu > Record > Encoding > Record”, and set the resolution and bitrate to a lower level. 4. Reduce the number of local playback channel. Select “Menu > Playback”, and uncheck the checkbox of unnecessary channels. 5. Check if the fault is solved by the above steps. If it is solved, finish the process.
