Hobby King Multi-Rotor Roll/Tilt GoPro Hero 2 Camera Mount Assembly Guide by Pierre Milcent http://milcent.wordpress.
Step 1 : build the main fixed framework For this you need part 1 (x4) and parts 2, 3, 4 and 5 Assembly parts 4 with parts 2 and 3 Then push them on two part 1 to form one slide of the framework. I recommend to use a very small hammer with a wooden block to stick them in place with care. The holes have just the required size. Add the part 5 between the two half side, then add the 2 others part 1 on top to form the other side.
At this stage you can screw the 8 tubes taking place between the parts 1 to reinforce the frame. Step 2 : build the camera support You will need parts 6, 7, 8 and 9 Be carefull since each piece has a specific place. Part 6 is the upper side with a hole for the GoPro video button, part 8 is the connexion with the gear for vertical movement and will be in the left side (when view in front).
Step 3 : build the Gimbal support for attachement You will need parts 10 (x4), 11(x2) and 12(x2) Join the parts 11 together with the parts 12 on each side. Then screw the parts 10 on the side in part 12. You will get a kind of U form on which the main arm will be fixed. This form will serve as the attach point to a quadcopter for instance. I think you can use also the parts 13 (x4) instead of parts 10. I don't know what could be the advantage except to have a stronger support.
Step 4 : build the arm joigning the camera support to the main frame You will need parts 14 (x2), 15 and 16 Use parts 15 et 16 to connect together the parts 14. Part 15 will receive the servo for controling the horizontal movement of the gimbal. Part 16 is the connector between the gear and and the arm for horinzontal movement. Do not fix the tubes now, you will need a loose coupling for the next step Step 5 : Assembly the arm with the support (step 3 and 4) You will need part 17 for this step.
Slide the arm in the attachement part Add the second part of the arm and slide it on the other side.
You will then push the part 17 between the parts 14 under the parts 11, then screw. When done you can attach the tubes between the two sides of the arm for reinforcement.
Step 6 : Servos, gears At this stage i recommend to put in place servos for controlingt the movement. A litlle bit adjustment will be required depending on their size. It seems the HXT900 are almost well fitting in place, just need a small sand action on sides of the hole. Then you need to screw the gear in place. One is inside the part 2 and the other in part 5, I also recommend to pre drill the small square on top of the gear since there will be a small screw here to retain the part connected to the gear.
Step 7 : Link the arm and the GoPro Support to the main frame The link is made by connecting the square connector of the gear into the square hole of the parts 8 and 16. When in position you screw the small screw into the square connector of the gear that you have pre drilled. And you do the same with the other side. You will need a long screw driver for small screws.
Caution Be carefull not to screw the gear on their respective parts before having build all the blocks. If so you will need to remove them to assembly the final building blocks. Doing so may damage the gear itself since it is made of plastic parts connected together with a litlle bit glue i guess and a mechanic connector that can not support to be unmounted. I made this mistake and now one of my gear is unusable, this is why i created this guide.
