Installing the hood Removing the packaging IMPORTANT Framing must be capable of supporting 150lbs. CAUTION Remove the carton carefully. Wear gloves to protect against sharp edges. Adequate structure and support must be provided in all types of installations. Framing must support minimum 150lb load.

Installing the hood Step 2: • Mount the upper bracket (4) onto the ceiling with 4 sets of long screws (10) and washers (11) (fig. ). • Make sure the power cable for the range hood is routed inside the bracket. Step 4: • Attach the collar (6) to the range hood (1). Secure it with 2 short screws (19) (fig. ). • Depending on the ceiling height ensure required power cable length. Installing the hood Step 6: • Install the lower bracket (5) onto the range hood (1) and secure it with 4 sets of nuts (13), span washers (14) and washers (15) (fig. ). Step 7: • Loosen the 2 short screws from the junction box and remove the cover (fig. ). • • • Install the upper and lower chimney (3) onto the range hood (1) (fig. ). Place the range hood above the cooktop. Connect the incoming positive, neutral and ground cables to the respective terminals.
Installing the hood 11 Step 8: • Lift the assembled range hood (1) and fix it to the upper bracket (4) with 8 short screws (19) and washers (12) [4 on each side] (fig. ). • In assembling the upper bracket to lower bracket that Dimension A on page 8 should be reference to make the correct mounting height above the cooktop. CAUTION Danger of injury. The chimney skirts may have some sharp edges.
Operation / Cleaning and maintenance Installing range hood to the ceiling in recirculation mode • • • • For the operation of the range hood with Recirculation mode, a recirculator, model no. FHPRKT60LS, needs to be obtained. Please call Frigidaire at 1.800.944.9044 to order this kit. Fix the recirculation kit (7) to the upper bracket (4) with 2 short screws (20) (fig. ). • Turn on the range hood before starting to cook. Clean the filters frequently (refer to Cleaning and maintenance below).
every 4 - 6 months Troubleshooting 13 Charcoal filters: • If the model is not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through disposable charcoal filters that help remove smoke and odors. • The charcoal filters cannot be cleaned, they must be replaced regularly (depending on range hood usage). • NOTE: Do not rinse or put charcoal filters in a dishwasher. • NOTE: Charcoal filters are not included with the range hood.
