BEFORE SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS
Install burner grates
To install burner grates, place the grates flat-side down and
align them into the cooktop recess.

Using Proper Cookware
Check for flatness by rotating a ruler across the bottom of
the cookware (See
Figure 5). Cookware should have flat
bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface
heating element (See
Figure 6).
• Make sure the burner grates are properly placed on
the cooktop before using the surface burners
(
Figure 4). The grates are designed to rest inside the
recess on the cooktop.
• Grates should rest flush against each other and
against the sides of the recess.
• Do not line the area underneath the grates or any part
of the cooktop with aluminum foil or with any other
lining.

using proper cookware as
illustrated in
Figure 5 and
Figure 6.
