Care and Cleaning
Cleanyour air conditioneroccasionallyto keep it lookingnew. Be sure to unplug the
unit before cleaningto prevent shock or fire hazards.
Air Filter Cleaning
The air filter shouldbe checkedat leastonce a monthto see if cleaningis necessary
Trappedparticlesin the filtercan buildup and cause an accumulationof froston the
coolingcoils
• PushtheventhandletotheVentCIosedposition(whereapplicable)
• Openthe frontpanel
• Graspthe filterby the centerand pullup and out
• Wash the filter using liquiddishwashing detergent and warm water Rinse filter
thoroughly Gentlyshake excesswater fromthe filter Besure filteristhoroughlydry
beforereplacing.
• Or, insteadofwashingyou may vacuumthe filterclean.
Cabinet Cleaning
• Be sureto unplugthe airconditionerto preventshockor firehazard The cabinetand
front maybedustedwithan oil-freeclothorwashedwitha clothdampenedina solution
ofwarmwater and mildliquiddishwashingdetergent Rinse thoroughlyand wipe dry

Winter Storage
If you plan to storethe air conditioner duringthe winter,remove it carefullyfrom the

originalcarton.

enclosures, or other buildings
