Besuretheelectricalserviceisadequatefor the modelyouhavechosen.Thisinformation
canbe foundontheserialplate,whichislocatedonthe sideof thecabinetand behindthe
grille.
Ifthe air conditioner is to be installedin a window,youwill probablywant toclean both
sidesof the glassfirst. Ifthe window is a triple-tracktype with a screen panelincluded,
removethescreencompletely beforeinstallation.
Be sure the air conditionerhas been securelyand correctly installedaccordingto the
separate installationinstructionsprovidedwith this manual. Save this manual and the
installationinstructionsfor possiblefuture use in removingor reinstallingthisunit.
When handlingtheair conditioner, becarefulto avoidcutsfromsharpmetalfins onfront
and rearcoils.
Electrical information
The completeelectrical ratingofyour newmorn air conditioneris statedon theserial plate.
Refertothe ratingwhen checkingthe electrical requirements.
Be sure the air conditioner is properlygrounded.To minimizeshockand fire hazards,
propergroundingis important.The powercord isequippedwith a three-pronggrounding
plugforprotectionagainstshockhazards.
Your air conditionermust be used in a properlygroundedwall receptacle. If the wall
receptacleyouintendto useis notadequatelygroundedorprotectedbyatime delayfuse
or circuitbreaker,havea qualifiedelectricianinstallthe properreceptacle.
Do not runair conditionerwithouttheoutside protectivecover in place. This could
resultin mechanical damagewithin theairconditioner.

The powersupplycord contains a currentdevicethat sensesdamagetothe powercord. To
testyourpowersupplycord dothefollowing:
1. PlugintheAirConditioner.
2. The powersupplycord willhaveTWO buttonsonthe plughead. Pressthe TEST button.
Youwill noticea clickas the RESET buttonpopsout.
3. PresstheRESET button.Againyouwillnoticea clickas the buttonengages.
4. The powersupplycord isnowsupplyingelectricitytothe unit.(Onsome productsthisis
also indicatedbya lighton theplughead).
NOTES:
Do notusethisdevicetoturnthe uniton oroff.
AlwaysmakesuretheRESET buttonis pushedinforcorrect operation.
The powersupplycord mustbe replacedifitfails to resetwheneithertheTEST buttonis
pushed,oritcannotbe reset.Anew onecanbe obtainedfromthe productmanufacturer.
Ifpower supplycord isdamaged, it CANNOT be repaired.It MUST be replacedbyone
obtainedfromthe productmanufacturer.
