4.3 Installation Considerations
Although the eFlex is IP65 rated, if it is to be installed outdoors it is recommended that the
installation location meet the following conditions:
✓ At minimum, the eFlex should be protected from inclement weather with a cover/enclosure.
The IP65 rating of the eFlex prevents ingress of direct water spray and dust. However, the
eFlex cannot be immersed in water, nor are its exposed terminals waterproof.
✓ The floor is flat and level (Inclination < 15°).
✓ There is minimal dust and dirt in the area.
✓ Adequate clearance is provided around battery terminals is maintained for access.
✓ The eFlex has an insulated base so may be installed directly on concrete if floor mounting.
✓ All battery cables and their connections should be tight, intact, and NOT broken or frayed
