WARRANTY AND DISCLAIMER
WARRANTY
Deterioration of topical treatments can occur due to atmospheric conditions, cleaning of the
surface and many other conditions beyond our control. No additional coatings should be applied
to a treated surface as it can change the flame-spreading ratings. Fire retardants shall posses the
degree of permanency and shall be maintained so as to retain the effectiveness of the treatment
under the service conditions encountered in actual use. Periodic testing and inspection should be
performed by a trained individual to insure flame-retardancy. Shelf life for latex coatings is 1
year if pail is unopened and stored from freeze protection and extreme heat. If storing for long
periods of time, it would be best to shake or turn pail to allow periodic mixing of the product.
Make sure products are mixed well prior to using.
For soft-goods, Firetect will not be responsible for any color change, shrinkage, wrinkling,
aesthetic change and stiffness of fabric or sun fade on any fabric or material processed with its
flame retardants, as dyes and fabric fibers can vary. Firetect is not responsible for any electrical
shortages, power failures, electrical or aesthetic damage to equipment and/or obstacles near work
area. They will need to be covered, masked protected and/or moved. Customers must provide
working clearance. Nor does it guarantee against any fabric reaction due to exposure to
condensation or atmospheric conditions in the air. This information is standard to the flame
retarding industry and in accordance to NFPA Compliance. In addition, because our products
are water based, when the flame retardant comes in contact with metal surfaces, rusting and/or
tarnishing can occur. Never allow flame retarded fabric to come in contact with any liquids.
Dry cleaning of fabric is recommended, but flame retardant may be removed by washing or dry
cleaning.

product. Before using, user must determine the suitability of the product for its intended use.
The user assumes all risk and liability whatsoever in connection therewith. Any statement or
recommendation not contained herein shall have no force or effect unless contained in an
agreement signed by officers of seller and manufacturer. Deterioration of coatings applied to
interior finishes can occur due to ambient conditions and repeated cleaning of the surface or
painting over applied coatings. Fire Retardants shall possess the desired degree of permanency
and shall be maintained so as to retain the effectiveness of the treatment under the service
conditions encountered in actual use. Periodic testing and inspection is recommended.
