INTRODUCTION Congratulations on your new purchase. The Prep Machine has been specially designed to allow a quick convenient method of : 1) Peeling rough skinned vegetables, 2) Cleaning vegetables and fruit, 3) Whisking eggs and sauces, 4) Frothing milk, and 5) Blending soup and liquids. CHANGING THE ATTACHMENTS • Select the desired attachment depending on the use and required result. Make sure the battery recharger has been unplugged from the power main, being careful not to push the start button. 3 Steel Shaft • Slide the desired attachment onto the steel shaft of the power handle and push firmly down until it clicks into place, pull the end of the attachment to ensure it’s firmly located. Replace the safety splash guard onto the power handle and keep in place at all times.
CHARGING THE POWER HANDLE 1. Place the unit in a safe convenient location on the kitchen work top. Open the protective cap (6) and put the plug (11) of the battery recharger into the socket (8). 2. Completely unwind the recharger’s feed lead (10) and plug the battery charger (9) into the power main. The LED (7) will light up, indicating recharging. 3. The first charge must last at least 16 to 20 hours. 4.
HOW TO USE Peeler Attachment: • After Charging, turn the speed control (16) to “high speed” setting. • Hold the power hand of The Prep Machine (5) with one hand and with the other the root vegetable to peel (carrot, potato, zucchini) or the fish to scale. • Rest the blade unit (2) against the foodstuff and push the start button (4); the blade unit will start to turn. Releasing the start button (4) the blade stop turning.
HOW TO USE (cont.) Notes • You can peel the foodstuff under gently running water. Be careful to limit contact with water to the safety splash guard (1) and the blade unit (2). Point the unit into the sink to prevent any spray back. • Place a sieve or colander into a bowl of water to make it easy to collect shaved skin. The action of The Prep Machine removes a fine layer of skin only.
HOW TO USE (cont.) General Instructions For Other Attachments: Wash the milk frother, whisk and soup blender attachments before first using. Use hot soapy water to thoroughly clean all the surfaces of all the attachments. 1. Before inserting an attachment, make sure the unit is turned off. 2. Always start the speed control at “low speed” setting. 3. Before using and while operating the milk frother, whisk, and soup blender attachments you must remove the splash guard. 4.
HOW TO USE (cont.) Steps To Perfectly Use Of Your Milk Frother Attachment: 1. For Frothing, fill one third of a tall mug with milk and heat to 60°C/155°F. Do not boil. 2. For milkshakes, ensure the milk is as cold as possible. 3. Turn the speed control to “low speed” setting 4. Insert the milk frother attachment into milk close to the mug base. Switch on The Prep Machine. Moving the milk frother slowly around the inside of the mug.
HOW TO USE (cont.) Other Uses For The Whisk Attachment Are: To cream butter and sugar or mix eggs into batter. To beat whole eggs, frosting, and light mixtures. Great for smooth batters. To whip fluffy mixtures, whipped cream and egg whites. Note: Whisk attachment should not be used with heavy batters or dough. Using Of The Soup Blender Attachment 1. Turn the speed control to “low speed” or “high speed” depending to your need. 2.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE i) ii) iii) iv) Unplug the unit from the charger before cleaning it. Do not disassemble the unit for cleaning purposes. All parts should be thoroughly dried before storing away. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative. The Prep Machine removes a thin outer layer of the vegetables skin. This soon builds up on the inside of the safety splash guard.
Keep nylon bristles away from heat and do not clean in boiling water as this may damage the bristles. The battery recharger needs no cleaning. Before putting the appliance away , wait for all parts to dry.
BATTERY PACK DISPOSAL The Prep Machine is equipped with Ni-Cd batteries and you need to dispose of them properly. When the batteries are no longer good for use, they must be removed from The Prep Machine for disposal. Do not remove the batteries for any reason other than disposal of them. Care should be taken when removing the battery pack as it is possible to cause a short circuit. Please follow these steps when disposal is required. NEVER open battery compartment except to dispose the battery.
TROUBLE SHOOTING Before consulting your dealer or point of purchase, please check the following: Symptom Power handle does not work. Possible Cause Is the unit fully charged for 16 hours? Check that adapter is plugged in correctly. Is there any debris or food particle stopping the peeler from rotating? Remove peeler and clean LED does not light when charging LED will only light when the adapter is plugged in completely. Debris sprays on my arm when I use the unit.

COMMENT CHANGER LES ACCESSOIRES • Choisissez l’accessoire selon le besoin et le résultat désiré. Assurez-vous que le chargeur soit bien débranché du câble. Faites attention de ne pas activer la touche démarrer « start ». Axe en acier (pivot) • Glissez l’accessoire sur l’axe du manche moteur. Poussez fermement vers le bas jusqu’à ce qu’un bruit sec (clic) confirme l’emboîtement. Tirez l’extrémité de l’accessoire et assurez-vous d’un positionnement ferme et solide.
COMMENT CHARGER LE MANCHE-MOTEUR 1. Placez l’appareil sur le dessus du comptoir de la cuisine, dans un coin pratique et sécuritaire. Ouvrez le capuchon de protection (6) et branchez la fiche (11) du chargeur dans la prise pour adaptateur (8). 2. Déroulez complètement le cordon d’alimentation du chargeur (10) et branchez l’adaptateur (9) dans la prise murale. Le voyant DEL (7) s’allumera pour indiquer qu’il se recharge. 3. La première charge doit prendre de 16 à 20 heures au minimum. 4.
MODE D’EMPLOI Éplucheur : • Tournez le contrôle de vitesse (16) à haut régime « high speed ». • Tenez le manche-moteur du Prep (5) d’une main et de l’autre le légume à peler (carotte, patate, zucchini) ou le poisson à écailler. • Appuyez la lame (2) contre l’aliment et pressez la touche démarrer « start » (4); la lame se mettra à pivoter. Relâchez la touche pour mettre en arrêt. • Frottez graduellement la lame (2) sur toute la surface de l’aliment, soit d’un côté et de l’autre.
MODE D’EMPLOI…suite Remarques • Vous pouvez peler les aliments sous une eau à faible débit. Limitez le contact du protecteur anti-éclaboussement (1) et de la lame (2) avec l’eau. Pointez l’appareil en direction de l’évier pour éviter tout giclement. • Déposez un tamis ou une passoire dans un bol d’eau pour qu’il soit plus facile de ramasser les pelures.
MODE D’EMPLOI…suite Directives générales pour les autres accessoires : Laver le mousseur à lait, le fouet/batteur et mélangeur à potages avant la première utilisation. Utilisez une eau savonneuse très chaude pour nettoyer à fond toutes les surfaces de tous les accessoires. 1. Assurez-vous que l’appareil soit hors tension avant d’y insérer un accessoire. 2. Démarrez toujours en position basse vitesse « low speed ». 3.
MODE D’EMPLOI…suite Les étapes à suivre pour une mousse parfaite : 1. Mousse : Remplissez un tiers de lait dans une grande tasse et chauffez à 60°C/155°F. Ne pas faire bouillir. 2. Frappé : Le lait doit être aussi froid que possible. 3. Tournez le contrôle de vitesse à bas régime « low speed ». 4. Insérez le mousseur dans le lait près du fond de la tasse. Mettez le Prep en marche. Tournoyez doucement le mousseur dans la tasse.
MODE D’EMPLOI…suite Autres possibilités qu’offre le fouet/batteur : Pour battre en crème le beurre et le sucre ou incorporer des œufs dans une pâte. Pour battre des œufs entiers, des glaçages et des préparations légères. Excellent pour une pâte onctueuse. Pour fouetter des préparations légères, de la crème à fouetter et des blancs d’œufs. Remarque : L’utilisation du fouet/batteur est déconseillée pour la préparation de pâtes épaisses ou consistantes. Le mélangeur à potages 1.
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN i) Débranchez l’appareil du cordon électrique avant de le nettoyer. ii) Ne démontez pas l’appareil dans le but de le nettoyer. iii) Séchez toutes les pièces à fond avant de les ranger. iv) Pour toute autre révision, consultez un représentant de service autorisé. Le Prep retire une mince couche externe de pelures des légumes.
Gardez les fibres de nylon loin de la chaleur et ne les nettoyez pas dans l’eau bouillante, ce qui pourrait endommager les fibres. Le chargeur ne nécessite pas de nettoyage. Attendez que toutes les pièces soient sèches avant de ranger l’appareil.
MISE AU REBUT DU BLOC-PILES Le Prep est muni de piles au Nickel-Cadnium. Débarrassezvous-en adéquatement. Retirez les piles du Prep et mettez-les au rebut dès qu’elles ne sont plus bonnes. Ne retirez pas les piles pour aucune autre raison que pour vous en débarrasser. Faites attention lorsque vous retirez le bloc-pile car un court-circuit est possible. Veuillez suivre les indications quand il y a lieu de les mettre au rebut. Ne jamais ouvrir le compartiment à piles sauf pour jeter la pile.
DÉPANNAGE Avant de consulter votre fournisseur ou lieu d’achat, veuillez vérifier ce qui suit : Indice Le manche-moteur ne fonctionne pas. Cause possible Avez-vous rechargé l’appareil à pleine capacité et ce pendant 16 heures ? Veillez à ce que l’adaptateur soit branché correctement. Reste-t-il des déchets ou particules d’aliments freinant l’éplucheur dans sa rotation? Retirez l’éplucheur et nettoyez-le.
