LBP Hybrid, Lead Based Paint Sealant and Treatment (Latex Primer). Used by residential and commercial contractors, painters, and home owners as a multi-use lead based
paint product that Seals and Treats Lead Hazards during Renovation, Repair, Painting (RRP), lead paint maintenance, commercial/industrial remediation and demolition activities

USES
Ideal when superior adhesion direct to metal bonding is required,
interior/exterior applications where a smooth finish is desired, and
when painted surfaces will remain in place and may be exposed to
corrosive environment

Note: This product is not a permanent epoxy encapsulant as
defined by HUD/EPA and is not to be used as a substitute for a
permanent encapsulant with 20 year warranty
PRODUCT APPLICATION
NOTE: Due to settling, thoroughly mix prior to use for 1 - 3 minutes
per gallon
Use on a wide variety of surfaces including (but not limited to)
wood, drywall, steel, masonry/brick, concrete and asphalt
Interior application use as a primer or as tintable topcoat; Exterior
application use as primer
Surface should be clean, dry, and in sound condition before
application. Remove any excessive foreign material such as rust,
grease, oil, etc. that could interfere with product adhesion. High
gloss or smooth surfaces may be prepared by light wet sanding or
application of a liquid de-glosser.
Initial testing is recommended by painting a small area prior to
general use to determine compatibility.
Air and surface temperature should be 50 - 100 degrees F. Protect
surface from rain or moisture until dry.
ECOBOND® LBP is light tan when wet; if not tinted or topcoated,
will darken to a medium tan after curing.
Standard coat is typically dry to the touch in 2-4 hours and ready to
apply topcoat in 4 hours; however, cooler temperatures or high
humidity may prolong dry times
Standard application is one coat at 4-6 mils wet. If multiple layers
of lead paint are present, a second coat of ECOBOND® LBP may
be applied; allow paint to dry prior to applying second coat.

EQUIPMENT
Recommended application by roller or sprayer; or high quality
brush. Recommended spray tip orifice for airless sprayer is .017
CLEAN-UP
Clean spills immediately with soap and warm water. Wash hands,
tools, and equipment with warm soapy water after use; dispose of
all waste according to current local, state, and federal regulations.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Follow work safe practices (http://www2.epa.gov/lead/renovation-
repair-and-painting-program) and all appropriate guidelines (e.g.
OSHA, NIOSH, EPA and all other applicable Federal and State
Laws and Regulations).
To control lead exposure, the use of a respirator, eye protection,
and protective clothing is recommended. Use only with adequate
ventilation, if you experience difficulty breathing; leave the area to
obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, seek medical
assistance immediately.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin; in case of eye contact, flush
immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek
medical assistance. For skin, wash thoroughly with soap and
water.

Warning: if you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release
lead dust. Lead is toxic. Exposure to lead dust can cause serious
illness, such as brain damage, especially in children. Pregnant women
should also avoid exposure. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to
control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a
wet mop. Before you start, find out how to protect yourself and your

lead or log onto www.epa.gov/lead.
