BASIC GUIDELINES
Accurate measurements are essential in order for the roller shade to properly fit the window
opening.
Always use a steel tape measure.
Measure each window separately even if multiple windows appear to be the same size.
The shade can either be mounted inside or outside the window frame.
HOW TO MEASURE - ROLLER SHADES
INSIDE MOUNT
Width: Measure the exact distance between inside
surfaces of window frame at the top of the frame,
closest to where brackets will be mounted.
Length: Measure height of window from inside
surface at top of window down to sill, or to the point
where fabric is to reach.
OUTSIDE & CEILING MOUNT
Width: Measure the width of the window opening and
add 2-3" on each side for maximum light blockage. If
the brackets are going to be mounted on the trim or
framing around the window, measure from the outside
edge of one trim to the other.
Length: Measure the full height of the window from
the top of the outer frame to the lower sill.
Select Mount Type
Note: The width measurements of the ordered shade are from end to end of the shade. The
width of the fabric will be 1 1/8” narrower than the ordered width.
