FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will these units last?
Each unit is made with galvanized steel to assist in protecting against the elements, causing the
units to last equivalent to that of a normal chain link fence.
Will these keep my large dog in the yard?
Yes, ensuring that the correct model is chosen for the right situation. Be sure to use the XL model
in areas that have already been established as a digging spot, use the Large Animal Barrier (or
Small/Med depending on size of animal) in areas that haven’t been disturbed as of yet, to keep it
that way.
Do these panels attach to the existing fence?
They don’t have to but they denitely can, in fact for chain link fencing we suggest interlocking
the bottom links of the fence during installation (please refer to our video), for wood privacy they
can be stapled if deemed necessary or for extra security, but not needed.
Do I have to dig a trench or a hole to bury the units?
No, no digging or “prepping” the ground is needed. Just a hammer and pair of gloves and you can
install the unit to the desired depth for perimeter security and to protect against digging under
the fence.
Are these shock or electric?
No, there is no shock with the Dig Defence product. It is the humane alternative to electric shock.
It creates an underground barrier that cannot be breached keeping animals from digging under
the fence in order to enter or leave the area.
Is it a hindrance to lawn care?
No, the units are installed along the fence line and will not encroach onto the yard. All the units
will stand up to any trimming device lines and you are able to mow right next to the units, unlike
some other DIY solutions: chicken wire, rocks, wood, etc.
Can Dig Defence be used other than with a fence?
Yes, all units can be used as skirting with a shed or a structure with crawl spaces to deter animals
from entering underneath. Decks and washout areas can also benet from our products.
Are Dig Defence units just for residential areas?
No, in fact our line of products are currently used at military, airport, and zoo facilities across the
U.S. to protect against invasive intruders.
