Safety
Environment
When dealing with any construction project, it is necessary to wear appropriate safety equipment
to avoid any risk of injuries. We recommend wearing safety equipment when handling, cutting,
and installing deck tiles: gloves, eye protection, respirator, long sleeves, and pants. Standard
woodworking tools may be used. When cutting, ensure that all blades are new, sharp, and have
a carbide tip.
Heat and fire
Keep the WPC deck tile away from external heat sources such as fire, sunlight reflections
from energy-efficient windows, or other ignition sources. Excessive heat on the surface of WPC
material can cause it to melt, sag, warp, discolor, expand/contract, and accelerate weathering.
Static
Static build-up is a naturally occurring phenomenon that can occur with many plastic products.
Dry or windy environments may make this even more apparent. A possible way to lower
static shock occurrences is to use an anti-static mat or outdoor rug near doorways.
Storage
Products must be stored on a flat, solid surface in a well-ventilated space. They should not lay
directly on the ground but instead on pallets or other supporting materials to avoid warping
and discoloration over long periods of time. These products should not be used as columns,
support posts, beams, joist stringers, or other primary load-bearing structures.
To install the deck tile correctly, a clean, smooth, flat, and strong surface is required. These deck
tiles are not recommended to be installed on soft soil, long grass, or uneven rough ground. The
deck tiles should not be immersed in water for long periods of time. Plan and construct a clean
drainage system for the site beforehand.
Before installing any composite product, its recommended that you check with local building
codes for any special requirements or restrictions. The diagrams and instructions outlined in
this guide are for illustration purposes only and are not meant or implied to replace a licensed
professional. Any construction or use of these products must be in accordance with all local
zoning and/or building codes. The consumer assumes all risks and liability associated with the
construction and use of this product.
