Solutions:
• Change the Dell ULNM shutdown configuration from “Hibernate” to “Shutdown.”
• Execute the command “Powercfg -h on” under an administrator account to restore the Windows Vista
“Hibernate” option.

Shutdown Sequence
When connected through a serial RS-232, Pulsar UPSs sometimes do not shut off as expected. In this
case, the UPS does not take into account the “Shutdown Duration” parameter of the Dell ULNM.
Solution:
• Use a USB connection. The next Dell ULNM version will implement this correction in RS-232.
