Plug and Play Capability You can install the monitor in any Plug and Play compatible system. The monitor automatically provides the computer with its Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) using Display Data Channel (DDC) protocols so that the system can configure itself and optimize the monitor settings. Most monitor installations are automatic. You can select different settings if required.

Using the Right Side Panel Controls Use the keys on the Right side of the monitor to adjust the image settings.

Brightness Allows you to adjust the brightness or luminance of the backlight. Press the Contrast key to increase brightness and press the key to decrease brightness (min 0 ~ max 100). Allows you to adjust the contrast or the degree of difference between darkness and lightness on the monitor screen. Adjust brightness first, and adjust contrast only if you need further adjustment. Press the AUTO ADJUST key to increase contrast and press the key to decrease contrast (min 0 ~ max 100).
Auto Adjustment allows the monitor to self-adjust to the incoming video signal. After using Auto Adjustment, you can further tune your monitor by using the Pixel Clock (Coarse) and Phase (Fine) controls under Image Settings. NOTE: Auto Adjust does not occur if you press the button while there are no active video input signals or attached cables. INPUT SOURCE Use the Input Source menu to select between different video signals that may be connected to your monitor.
Input Color Format Allows you to set the video input mode to: RGB: Select this option if your monitor is connected to a computer or DVD player using the HDMI cable or the HDMI to DVI adapter. YPbPr: Select this option if your DVD player supports only YPbPr output. Preset Modes Allows you to choose from a list of preset color modes. Standard: Loads the monitor's default color settings. This is the default preset mode. Multimedia: Loads color settings ideal for multimedia applications.
Game: Loads color settings ideal for most gaming applications. Text: Loads color settings ideal for office environment. Warm: Increases the color temperature. The screen appears warmer with a red/yellow tint. Cool: Decreases the color temperature. The screen appears cooler with a blue tint. Custom Color: Allows you to manually adjust the color settings. Press the and keys to adjust the Red, Green, and Blue values and create your own preset color mode.
Aspect Ratio Adjusts the image ratio as Wide 16:9, 4:3, or 5:4. NOTE: Wide 16:9 adjustment is not required at maximum preset resolution 1,920 x 1,080. Horizontal Position Vertical Position Sharpness Pixel Clock Use the or buttons to adjust image left and right. Minimum is '0' (-). Maximum is '100' (+). Use the or buttons to adjust image up and down. Minimum is '0' (-). Maximum is '100' (+). This feature can make the image look sharper or softer.
Language Allows you to set the OSD display to one of six languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Simplified Chinese, or Japanese. Menu Transparency Allows you to adjust the OSD background from opaque to transparent. Menu Timer Allows you to set the time for which the OSD remains active after you press a key on the monitor. Use the Menu Lock and keys to adjust the slider in 1 second increments, from 5 to 60 seconds. Controls user access to adjustments.
Enable (Default): Optimizes the performance of your monitor and provides a better customer experience. Disable: Disables the DDC/CI option and the following message appears on the screen. LCD Conditioning This feature will help reduce minor cases of image retention.
If an image appears to be stuck on the monitor, select LCD Conditioning to help eliminate any image retention. Using the LCD Conditioning feature may take some time. LCD Conditioning feature cannot remove severe cases of image retention or burn-in. NOTE: Use LCD Conditioning only when you experience a problem with image retention. The below warning message appears once user selects “Enable" LCD Conditioning. Factory Reset Resets all OSD settings to the factory preset values.
Shortcut Key 1 User can select from "Preset Modes", "Brightness/Contrast", "Auto Adjust", "Input Source", "Aspect Ratio" and set as shortcut key. Shortcut Key 2 User can select from "Preset Modes", "Brightness/Contrast", "Auto Adjust", "Input Source", "Aspect Ratio" and set as shortcut key.
Reset Personalize Allows you to restore shortcut key to the default setting. OSD Warning Messages When the monitor does not support a particular resolution mode you will see the following message: This means that the monitor cannot synchronize with the signal that it is receiving from the computer. See Monitor Specifications for the horizontal and vertical frequency ranges addressable by this monitor. Recommended mode is 1,920 x 1,080.
You will see the following message before the DDC/CI function is disabled. When the monitor enters the Power Save mode, the following message appears: Activate the computer and wake up the monitor to gain access to the OSD.
If VGA or HDMI cable is not connected, a floating dialog box as shown below appears. The monitor will enter Power Save Mode in 5 minutes if left at this state. or See Troubleshooting for more information. Self-Test Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly.
4. This box also appears during normal system operation, if the video cable becomes disconnected or damaged. The monitor will enter Power Save Mode in 5 minutes if left at this state. 5. Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the monitor. If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer, because your monitor is functioning properly.

Press and hold the Button 1 and Button 4 on the right side panel simultaneously for 2 seconds. A gray screen appears. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities. Press the Button 4 on the right side panel again. The color of the screen changes to red. Inspect the display for any abnormalities.
