Usage Information
• By default, all prexes congured in IPv6 addresses on an interface advertise. To advertise all default
parameters in the subnet prexes on an interface, enter the default keyword.
• If you congure a prex with valid or preferred lifetime values, the ipv6 nd prefix default no
autoconfig
command does not apply the default prex values.
• On-link determination is used to forward IPv6 packets to a destination IPv6 address.

ipv6 nd ra-lifetime
Sets the lifetime of the default router in RA messages.
Syntax
ipv6 nd ra-lifetime seconds
Parameters
• ra-lifetime seconds — Enter a lifetime value in milliseconds, from 0 to 9000 milliseconds.
Defaults Three times the max-ra-interval value
Command Mode INTERFACE
Usage Information The no version of this command restores the default lifetime value. 0 indicates that this router is not used as the
default router.
Example

Sets the advertised time the router sees a neighbor to be up after it receives a reachability conrmation.
