Save conguration changes manually

Copy running conguration
The running conguration contains the current OS10 system conguration and consists of a series of OS10 commands. Copy the running
conguration to a remote server or local directory as a backup or for viewing and editing. The running conguration is copied as a text le,
which you can view and edit with a text editor. To copy the running conguration to the startup conguration le, enter the copy
running-configuration startup-configuration command.

Copy le to running conguration
To apply a set of commands to the current running conguration and execute them immediately, copy a text le from a remote server or
local directory. The copied commands do not replace the existing commands. If the copied command fails, the successful copied
commands before the failure is maintained.

Restore startup conguration
The startup conguration le, startup.xml, is stored in the config system folder. To create a backup version, copy the startup
conguration to a remote server or the local config: or home: directories.
To restore a backup conguration, copy a local or remote le to the startup conguration and reload the switch. After downloading a
backup conguration, enter the reload command, otherwise the conguration does not take eect until you reboot.
