Parameters
● mac-learn-limit-violation — Brings up an error disabled interface that exceeded the
maximum number of MAC addresses that it can learn.
● mac-move-violation — Brings up an error disabled interface that was brought down due to
station move violation.
Default Automatic recovery is disabled

errdisable reset cause
Resets the error disabled state of interfaces.
Syntax
errdisable reset cause {all | mac-learn-limit-violation | mac-move-
violation}
Parameters
● all — Resets the error disabled state of all interfaces.
● mac-learn-limit-violation — Resets the error disabled state of interfaces that exceeded the
maximum number of MAC addresses that it can learn.
● mac-move-violation — Resets the error disabled state of interfaces due to a station move
violation.

This command resets the error disabled state of all interfaces according to the option you select.

Configures the number of MAC addresses an interface can learn.
Syntax
mac-learn {limit learn-limit-value | no-limit}
Parameters
● limit learn-limit-value — Enter a value from 1 to 3072.
● no-limit — The interface learns the maximum number of MAC addresses that the system
supports.
Default One MAC address

Information
After you enable port security on an interface, by default, the interface learns a maximum of one MAC
address. Use the mac-learn limit command to configure the number of MAC addresses an interface
can learn.
