Installing the cooling fan assembly
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
CAUTION:
Observe the routing of the cable as you remove it from the system. Route the cable properly when
you replace it to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
Steps
1. Align the guide slots on the cooling fan assembly with the standoffs on the system.
2. Lower the cooling fan assembly into the system until the cooling fan connectors engage with the connectors on the system
board.
3. Press the release levers to lock the cooling fan assembly in place.
