8. Copy MegaSAS.log to datastore by using command:cp /opt/lsi/perccli/MegaSAS.log /vmfs/volumes/datastore1/

9. Copy the file to desktop with Datastore Browser.

Now the logs are exported on ESXi hosts on the Dell 13th generation PowerEdge servers.

Configuring RAID by using Lifecycle Controller

Prerequisites

If your system has one or more supported PERC RAID controllers with PERC 8 firmware or later, or software RAID controllers, use the

RAID Configuration wizard to configure a virtual disk as the boot device.

NOTE:

Create boot virtual disk only from a disk drive populated across slots 0–3 of the system. For slot information, see

the server Owner’s Manual at www.dell.com/poweredgemanuals.

Steps

1. Launch the Lifecycle Controller home page, click Hardware Configuration, and then click Configuration Wizards.

The Configuration Wizards window is displayed.

2. In Storage Configuration Wizards, click RAID Configuration.
