Example
The following example attaches a file description to image2.
console#filedescr image2 "backedup on 03-22-05"
ftpdownload
Use the
ftpdownload
command to update the backup image on the switch. Users can use the
boot
system image1/image2
command to appropriately load the image on next reload.
This command can be executed by a script. Password protection is not provided, and the password
is displayed on the CLI console as it is typed by the user or given in the script.
Syntax Description
ftpdownload
ipaddress/path
image user
user name
password

Ipaddress/path
—IP address of FTP server followed by the destination directory path from
which the image file is to be downloaded. (Range: Valid IP address and directory from
which the image file is to be downloaded)

image
—Specifies the backup image on flash. (Range: None)
•
Username
—User name on the FTP server. (Range: Valid user name)
•
Password
—Password for the respective user on the FTP server. (Range: Valid password)
