Priority and recommendations
Dell EMC recommends the customer to review specifics about the update to determine if it applies to your system. The
update contains changes that impact only certain configurations, or provides new features that may or may not apply to your
environment.

What is new
The OpenManage Enterprise SupportAssist 1.0.2 brings in support for iDRAC version 4.40.00.00 along with defect fixes. For
more information about the defects fixed in this release, see Defect Fixes on page 2.
Defect Fixes
This release provides fixes for the following issues:
SupportAssist moves the Dell PowerEdge R740xd2 servers to staging.
SupportAssist moves the following chassis and their supported nodes to staging.
Dell PowerEdge MX7000
Dell PowerEdge M1000e
Dell PowerEdge FX2
After upgrading the iDRAC firmware, SupportAssist displays the previous iDRAC firmware version.
Known issues in previous release
Issue 1
Description:
SupportAssist plugin may move the devices that are managed in OpenManage Enterprise to staging if the devices were
discovered using both host operating system (ESXi, Linux, or Hyper-V) and iDRAC.
Resolution:
OpenManage Enterprise can discover a device using both host operating system (ESXI, Linux, or HyperV) and iDRAC. However,
SupportAssist plugin can discover the device either by using host operating system or iDRAC. If a device is discovered by using
host operating system, the SupportAssist plugin moves the device to staging if Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator
(OMSA) is not installed on the device. To address this issue, install OMSA on the host and rediscover the device.
Issue 2
Description
SupportAssist plugin does not support the 11
th
generation of PowerEdge servers or lower. Therefore, when you discover these
servers, SupportAssist plugin moves the servers to staging.

Issue 3
Description:
Until the inventory sync is complete, the number of Managed, Staged, Unmanaged devices displayed on the Site Health page of
Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise SupportAssist sometimes reflects incorrect numbers.
