Usage Information
The VRRP group only becomes active and sends VRRP packets when you configure
a virtual IP address. When you delete the virtual IP address, the VRRP group stops
sending VRRP packets.
Related Command
virtual-address — assigns up to 12 virtual IP addresses per VRRP group.
version
Set the VRRP protocol version for the IPv4 group.
Syntax
version {2 | 3 | both}
To return to the default setting, use the no version command.
Parameters
2 Enter the keyword 2 to specify VRRP version 2 as defined by
RFC 3768, Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol.
3 Enter the keyword 3 to specify VRRP version 3 as defined by
RFC 5798, Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol.
both Enter the keyword both for in-service migration from VRRP
version 2 to VRRP version 3.
