PortName(WWPN)andaLogicalUnitNumber(LUN).Byextendingtheserversystembootbasicinput/output
system(BIOS),bootfromSANfunctionalityisprovidedbythebootBIOScontainedintheDellserver.When
properly
configured,thecontrollerthenpermanentlydirectstheservertobootfromalogicalunit(physicaldisk
drive)ontheSANasifitwasalocalphysicaldiskdrive.
