When Using Your Computer Observe the following safe-handling guidelines to prevent damage to your computer: • When setting up the computer for work, place it on a level surface. • When traveling, do not check the computer as baggage. You can put your computer through an X-ray security machine, but never put your computer through a metal detector. If you have the computer checked by hand, be sure to have a charged battery available in case you are asked to turn on the computer.

Apply the water to the cloth; then stroke the cloth across the display in one direction, moving from the top of the display to the bottom. Remove moisture from the display quickly and keep the display dry. Long-term exposure to moisture can damage the display. Do not use a commercial window cleaner to clean your display.
When Using Your Computer (continued) 4 Ground yourself by touching any unpainted metal surface on the back of the computer. While you work, periodically touch the unpainted metal surface to dissipate any static electricity that might harm internal components. Protecting Against Electrostatic Discharge Static electricity can harm electronic components inside your computer.

To start the Diagnostics, perform the following steps: 1 Turn off the computer. 2 Undock the computer if you have it docked. 3 Turn on the computer. 4 Press at the start of the boot routine to access the system setup menu. Qualquer exposição prolongada à umidade pode danificar a tela. Nunca use um limpa-vidros comum para limpar a tela.
Ao usar o computador (continuação) 4 Aterre-se tocando em uma superfície metálica sem pintura na parte de trás do computador. No decorrer do trabalho, toque periodicamente na superfície metálica sem pintura para dissipar a eletricidade estática, que pode danificar os componentes internos. Para iniciar os Diagnósticos, execute as seguintes etapas: 1 Desligue o computador. 2 Desencaixe o computador, se estiver encaixado. 3 Ligue o computador. 4 Pressione no início da rotina de inicialização para acessar o menu de configuração do sistema. NOTA: Anote a seqüência de inicialização atual, caso queira restaurá-la após executar o Dell Diagnostics.

Para cambiar la secuencia de inicio, repita los pasos 1 a 6, personalizándola para que se ajuste a sus necesidades. A continuación, reinicie el equipo. Cuando se inician los diagnósticos, aparece la pantalla del logotipo de Dell, seguida de un mensaje que indica que los diagnósticos se están cargando.
