Removing the chassis fan

Prerequisites

1 Remove the computer cover.

2 Remove the front bezel.

3 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in “Removing the optical drive”.

Procedure

1 Disconnect the chassis-fan cable from the system board.

2 Remove the four screws (#6-32xL6.35) that secure the chassis fan to the

chassis.
