setslotname
Description Displays the name and hostname (if available) of all 16
slots, or of a specified slot (indicated by the slot number)
in the chassis. Optionally, this command can be used to
set whether the slot name or hostname is displayed in the
CMC User Interface or with the getslotname -i <
slot ID
>
command. If the hostname is not available, the static slot
name is used.
To use this subcommand, you must have Administrator
privilege.

NOTE: The OMSA server agent must be present and
running on the server to use the Display Hostname
feature. If the agent is not running, the setting is
ignored. For more information, see the

racadm setslotname -i <slotID>

racadm setslotname -h <enabled>
Input

slotID
> — Displays the location of the slot in the
chassis.
Legal values: 1–16
<
slotname
> — The new name to be assigned to
the slot.
<
enabled
> — Sets whether the server's hostname
is used for display purposes.
Legal values: 0, 1
Example
racadm setslotname -i 3 mserver3
The slot name was set successfully.
setsysinfo
Description Sets the name or location of the chassis.
To use this subcommand, you must have Administrator
privilege.
This command is applicable only for CMC.
