Manipulate the RIP timers for routing updates, invalid, holddown times, and flush time.

Syntax
timers basic update invalid holddown flush
To return to the default settings, use the no timers basic command.
Parameters
update
Enter the number of seconds to specify the rate at which RIP routing
updates are sent. The range is from zero (0) to 4294967295. The
default is 30 seconds.
invalid
Enter the number of seconds to specify the time interval before
routing updates are declared invalid or expired. The invalid value
should be at least three times the update timer value. The range is
from zero (0) to 4294967295. The default is 180 seconds.
holddown
Enter the number of seconds to specify a time interval during which
the route is marked as unreachable but still sending RIP packets. The
holddown value should be at least three times the update timer value.
The range is from zero (0) to 4294967295. The default is 180 seconds.
flush
Enter the number of seconds to specify the time interval during which
the route is advertised as unreachable. When this interval expires,
the route is flushed from the routing table. The flush value should be
greater than the update value. The range is from zero (0) to
4294967295. The default is 240 seconds.
