Connecting SAN and Internal Network Cables
For the recommended configuration, see Figure 2-6. For each controller, use nine network cables
to make the following controller connections to the two switch stacks:
• All the ports on the two top network interface cards.
•
Single port in the lower-left corner of the controller.
Note: Be sure to distribute the internal network and SAN connections across the two switches
for high availability.
For the minimum configuration, see Figure 2-7. For each controller, use four network cables to
make the following controller connections to the same switch stack:
• First and third port in the top-left network interface card.
•
First port in the top-right network interface card.
• Single port in the lower-left corner of the controller.
