Instruction appears about creating template. On the instruction page, click the previous or next
arrow buttons on the instruction page to read other instructions. If you do not want instructions to
be displayed when you login next time, select the Don’t show me this again check box at the
bottom-left corner of the instruction page. To continue building the template using Template Builder
page, click Close.

This page provides instructions about creating a template.
You can perform the following actions on this page:
To view other instructions, click previous or next arrow buttons.
If you do not want view this instructions again, select the Don’t show this again check box.
To close the instruction page and continue building the template, click Close.
Building Template Overview
The
Template Builder page allows you to build a customized template by configuring both physical and
virtual components. On the Template Builder page, you can set the component properties. For example:
you can create a template that just provisions physical servers with OS on them, or creates storage
volumes, creates clusters or VMs, or deploy applications on VMs.
This page displays the graphical representation of the topology created within a particular template.
NOTE
: Initially, a newly created or a cloned template appears in a Draft state on the Template page
and remains in the same state until published.
The following component types can be configured in a template:
Storage
Server
Cluster
Virtual Machine
Application
NOTE
: While building a template, it is recommended to first provision the physical resources, then
configure virtual resources and lastly configure application settings to be deployed on the
resources.
