CLEANING
Before cleaning or maintenance, turn the appliance o by
touchingthe button,thenunplugfromtheoutlet.
CLEANING THE CABINET
Youshouldcleantheappliancewithaslightlydampcloththen
drywithadrycloth.Forsafetyreasons,neverwashtheaircon-
ditionerwithwater.

ersprayinsecticideliquidsorsimilar.
CLEANING THE AIR FILTER OR SILVER-ION AIR FILTER (If
tted)
To maintain the eciencyofthe air conditioner, it is recom-
mendedtocleanthedustlteraftereveryweekofuse.
Thelterislocatedneartheintakegrille.Removethegrilleto
accessthelter.Tocleanthelter,itwillneedtobeextracted
asshowning.8-9.

Useavacuumcleanertoremoveanydustdepositedonthelter.
Ifitisverydirty,submergeitintowarmwaterandrinseitseveral
times.Thewatertemperaturemustbekeptbelow104°F.
Afterwashingthelter,allowittodry.Toreplace,putthelter
backinitshousing.Ifpresent,thesilver-ionairfilternotonlyre-
tainspowderparticles,butalsoperformsanefficientantibacte-
rialaction.Inaddition,itgreatlyreducesirritantssuchaspollen
andspores.Thefilteristreatedwithsmallparticlesofsilver(with
dimensionsequaltomillionthsofamillimetre)whichareableto
blockthemultiplicationofbacteriaandsporeswhenincontact
withthem,andthereforeencouragetheirdestruction.
CHECKS AT THE START OF THE SEASON
Makesurethepowercableandsocketareinperfectcondition
andmakesuretheearthingsystemisecient.Complystrictly
withtheinstallationstandards.
END OF SEASON OPERATIONS
Tocompletelydrainthewaterfromtheinternalcircuit,remove
thecapfromtheoutsideofthedrainagehose,turningitcoun-
terclockwise.Thenremovetheinternalcap(g.10).Drainthe
watercompletely intoabasin.When it is completelydrained,
replacethecaps,makingsuretheyarecompletelyclosed.Clean
thelterasindicatedpreviously.Theltermustbecompletely
drybeforereinsertingit.
