Planting Guide
A. Rehydrating the Coconut Core Disk
1. Remove the plastic wrapper
2. Put the disk into a bowl that can hold 2 quarts
3. Put 2 cups of warm water in the bowl(the warmer the better)
4. Wait for the disk to absorb the water(roughly 15 min)
5. Add additional water if needed
6. Occasionally you will need to break up part of the disk manually
7. Drain excess water
B. Planting
1. Fill pot half way with the coconut core planting medium
2. Set amaryllis bulbs in the pot upright
3. Fill around the bulb with more planting medium leaving the tips of the bulbs uncovered above
the soil line.
4. Place pot in a warm sunny location
5. Water once with warm water when first planting.
6. Scarcely water until you start to see growth from the bulbs.
7. Maintain the soil moist but not wet.
8. Do not over fill. Do not let water overflow from the saucer. Water can damage household items
Bloom Time: 6-10 weeks after planting
Lighting Requirements: Full Sun
Height: 16-20”
Usage: For indoor planting
Bloom Color: White
Tips:
1. If stems are leaning to one direction rotate so the stem will correct itself by leaning back
toward the sun.
2. If Bulbs are sprouted plant immediately.
3. Keep away from strong winds.
4. Keep at around 70°F.
5. Can be held over for next year if stored properly.
6. Trim stems after bloom dies to increase chances of multiple blooms.
