1 Before you begin installing the fan, S witch power off at Service panel and lock service dis connecting means to prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When the service dis connecting means cannot be lock ed, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel. 3 2 Before installing this fan mak e sure the outlet box is properly installed to the house structure.
10 11 12 Remove screws from stabilizer plate on bottom of fan motor. Remove stabilizer plate you will not need this plate. Carefully lift fan assembly onto mounting bracket. Rotate fan so that the notch on the ball engages the ridge in the mounting br acket. This will allow hands-free wiring.
20 21 Loosen 2 screws with k ey slots and remove 1 screw without slot from motor plate and save screw. Install switch housing plate b y twisting plate with key hole slots into place. Replace screw removed and tighten the 3 screws securely. 22 23 24 Connect plug from fan to switch housing plug. Match the color strips on the plugs. Black capacitor box needs to be stuck to the switch housing. Not being attached can cause motor noise. Remove twin adhesive tape from the black capacitor as shown abo ve.
