- We strongly urge a formal course of instruction in Shooting Education for your child. There are a number of youth and civic organizations which offer a complete 10-lesson course based on guidelines developed by the training experts.
- Insure that you have read “DAISY’S SHOOTING RULES FOR SAFETY”: on pages 3 and 18 of this book.
FEATURES
There are several features of your Daisy .22 rifle that you will need to become familiar with in addition to the
correct operation procedures. They are as follows:
WARNING: Do not try to take the bolt or action apart. If for any reason the bolt or action is not
function properly take the component or sent it to an competent gunsmith. (See Page 19)
CAUTION: Be sure the rifle is empty and always pointed in a safe direction. Always use
caution when performing any of these procedures.
1. REMOVABLE TRIGGER HOUSING AND BOLT
(A) Put Safety “ON” (red band not visible)
(B) The bolt will easily slide out of the receiver once the trigger housing is removed. Care
should be taken to prevent the bolt from falling from the rifle while the trigger housing is
removed.
(C) Open bolt and bring it rearward until it reaches the stop position. (Bolt must be open to
depress detent position).
(D) With thumb or finger, depress the detent button.
(E) Tap the trigger guard rearward and pull down to remove the trigger housing from the
receiver. (See Figures 9 and 10)
(F) The bolt may now be removed.
