Insertthe T-boltsremovedin stepearlierthroughthe handle bracketsandlowerhandleandtightensecurelyto securethe handle inplace.SeeFigure4. c. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE Followthe maintenance schedulegivenbelow.Thischartdescribes service guidelinesonly.Usethe ServiceLogcolumnto keeptrackofcompleted maintenance tasks.Tolocatethe nearestSearsServiceCenteror toscheduleservice, Beforeperforming any type of maintenance/service,disengageall controls and stop the engine.Wait until all moving parts havecometo acomplete stop. Disconnectsparkplug wire and groundit againstthe engineto prevent unintended starting.

BladeCare When removingthe cutting bladefor sharpeningor replacement,protect yourhandswith apair of heavyglovesor usea heavyragto hold the blade. Periodicallyinspectthe bladeadapterfor cracks,especiallyif youstrikeaforeign object.Replace when necessary. Followthe stepsbelowfor bladeservice. 1. Disconnect sparkplugbootfrom sparkplug.Turnmoweron its sidemaking surethat the airfilter andthe carburetorarefacingup. 2.
Neverstore lawn mowerwith fuel in tank indoorsor in poorlyventilated areaswhere fuel fumes mayreachan openflame, spark,or pilot light ason afurnace,water heater,clothesdryer, or gasappliance. PreparingThe Engine PreparingTheLawnMower Clean andlubricate mowerthoroughly asdescribed in thelubrication instructions. Forenginesstoredover30 days: Topreventgumfromforminginfuel systemor on carburetorparts,run engineuntil it stopsfrom lackof fuelor addagasolineadditiveto the gas inthe tank.
