Task Bar Enabled
The Task bar enabled option on the User Setup Screen will enable the Windows 95 Task Bar.
It is recommended that the Datalog 3 system is run exclusively on a PC and that no non-Cortech
Developments applications are run at the same time. Cortech can not guarantee that other applications
will not affect communication with the field panels or other external hardware.
Because of this possibility, it is best to leave the task bar disabled. This will deter other users from
running any other applications.
Show Zone Numbers
If this option is checked in the ‘System
!
’User Setup’ dialog box, then the Datalog zone number will be
displayed and logged in front of any alarm text recorded and also shown in the icon hint text.
On some systems this number is not required as a more recognisable reference is used in the zone text.
If the Datalog zone number is not required remove the tick from this box.
Timed Alarm Analysis Printout
To set the Datalog 3 system to print an Alarm Analysis report at a specific time on a daily basis:
1. From the Main screen click ‘Log on’
The menu panel displays.
2. Select ‘System’

’User Setup’.
The ‘User Setup’ dialog box displays.
3. Click the ‘Alarm Analysis Printout’ check box to tick.
4. Change the time to the required time for the print out.
To change the time which is in the format hh:mm:ss
5. Click on the ‘hh’ digits.
The hours digits are highlighted
Either:
6. Use the arrow keys on the right to increment/decrement the hours
Or
Overtype with the new hours
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for minutes and seconds digits
The printout format depends on the settings made when last running the Alarm Analysis report
manually.
Password Expiry Warning
The Password Expiry Warning field allows the operator to insert the number of days, before a password
expires, that a warning message is displayed. The message informs the user that his/her password will
expire in XX days and offers the choice of changing the password now or continuing with the current
password.
