Installation Guide

If you are replacing a cord on your current range:
1. Loosen the screws on cord clamp that holds the wires in place.
2. Disconnect the current 4 wires from the range terminal.
3. Remove the current cord from the range.
If you are installing a cord on a new range or replacing the cord on your current range, refer to your range
manufacturer’s instructions before proceeding:
1. Uncoil the new cord completely and make sure there are no bends or kinks in the cord.
2. Check the mounting hole on the back of the range and remove the knockout if necessary on a new range. Loosen
the screws and remove the strain relief bracket from the cord. Insert the strain relief into the hole, ears rst.
The ears will t through the hole without removing the screws entirely.
3. Insert the cord end connectors through the hole in the back of the range and the strain relief.
4. Attach the white wire to the center terminal, the red wire to the right terminal, and the black wire to the left terminal.
Attach the green wire to the grounding screw on the range. If the range manufacturer’s instructions are dierent,
follow their instructions.
5. Push an additional 3 inches of cord length into the terminal box and tighten the strain relief until there is
no cord movement.
6. Replace the access panel on the back of the range.
7. Plug the range into the wall outlet.
8. Turn on the power to the outlet.
9. Turn on the range to test it.

Certied Appliance Accessories® recommends that a professional licensed electrician install this range cord. Electric
ranges require 240-volt power supply. Make sure the amperage listed on the cord matches the amperage on your range.
Turn o the power to your range outlet. Unplug the cord from the wall outlet.
Open the access panel where the cord enters the back of the range.

cocinas eléctricas requieren una fuente de alimentación de 240 voltios. Asegúrese de que el amperaje que gura en el
cable coincida con el amperaje en su cocina.
Desconecte la alimentación del tomacorrientes de su cocina. Desenchufe el cable de la tomacorrientes de la pared.
Abra el panel de acceso donde el cable entra en la parte posterior de la cocina.
Si está reemplazando un cable en su estufa actual:
1. Aoje los tornillos en la abrazadera de cable que mantiene los cables en su lugar.
2. Desconecte los 3 cables actuales de la terminal de la cocina.
3. Retire el cable actual de la cocina.
Si está instalando un cable en una cocina nueva o está reemplazando el cable en su cocina actual, consulte las
instrucciones del fabricante de su cocina antes de continuar:
1. Desenrolle por completo el nuevo cable y asegúrese de que no haya dobleces o pliegues en el cable.
2. Compruebe el oricio de montaje en la parte posterior de la cocina y retire el oricio ciego, si fuera necesario,
en caso de que la cocina sea nueva. Aoje los tornillos y retire el soporte de alivio de tensión del cable. Inserte
el alivio de tensión en el oricio, primero las orejas. Las orejas se ajustarán a través del oricio sin quitar los
tornillos por completo.
3. Inserte los conectores del extremo del cable a través del oricio en la parte posterior de la cocina y el alivio
de tensión.
4. Conecte el cable del medio o de tierra a la terminal central, uno de los cables externos a la terminal derecha y el
otro cable externo a la terminal izquierda. Si las instrucciones del fabricante son diferentes, siga sus instrucciones.
5. Empuje 3 pulgadas adicionales de la longitud del cable en la caja de terminales y apriete el alivio de tensión
hasta que no haya movimiento del cable.
6. Reemplace el panel de acceso en la parte posterior de la cocina.
7. Conecte la cocina al tomacorrientes.
8. Encienda la fuente de alimentación.
9. Encienda la cocina para probarla.
