responding

be reset
Reboot the computer and/or reset the printer.
1. To reboot the computer, close all open applications, then restart.
2. To reset the printer, turn it off, then on again.
Ink tanks are not
seated properly
Printer tried
to print but
no ink on
paper
Check that the ink tanks have been firmly seated in the printhead,
and reseat the ink tanks if necessary. See “Replacing Ink Tanks” on
page 21.
Printhead
clogged/not
working properly
Verify that the printhead is working properly. See “Printing a Nozzle
Check Pattern” on page 22 or “Cleaning the Printhead” on page 24.
If necessary, perform multiple printhead cleanings. If print quality
does not improve, try deep cleaning. Perform printhead deep
cleaning from the printer driver.
If the problem persists, contact the Customer Care Center.

1. Print a nozzle check pattern to determine if the print head nozzles
are clogged. See “Printing A Nozzle Check Pattern” on page 22.
2. If the nozzles are clogged, you will need to clean the printhead.
See “Cleaning the Printhead” on page 24.
3. If print quality does not improve, try deep cleaning the printhead.
Perform printhead deep cleaning from the printer driver.
4. Replace one or both ink tanks. See “Replacing Ink Tanks” on page
21.
If the problem persists, contact the Customer Care Center.
