Scanner Driver Error Messages
Error Message Solution
Error in scanner. See the manual for solutions. • Make sure that your scanner or
printer and the computer are con-
nected correctly.
• Your scanner or printer may be
damaged.
Restart the computer, then recon-
nect your scanner or printer. If the
same error message still appears,
contact the service center.
USB connection:
Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:
- Scanner is turned off.
- USB cable is disconnected.
Please check and try again.
• Make sure that your scanner or
printer is turned on.
• Make sure that the selected scan-
ner is correct. Refer to the appli-
cation's manual for details.
• With USB connection, check the
connection of the USB cable and
reconnect as required.
Network connection:
Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:
- Scanner is turned off.
- (If using Wired LAN connection) It is disconnected from Wired LAN.
- (If using wireless LAN connection) Signal strength is poor due to obstruc-
tions.
- Network connection is prohibited by security software.
- Different scanner on the network is selected.
Please check and try again.
• With network connection, check
the connection status and recon-
nect as required.
A required file is missing or corrupted, or settings are incorrect. Try the installa-
tion again.
• Reinstall the scanner driver from
our website.
Cannot write or read file. • Exit running applications, check
that there is sufficient free space
on the hard disk, then scan again.
• Make sure that there is no prob-
lem with the destination folder, file
name, or access permission.
There is not enough free disk space to complete the scan. • Delete unnecessary files on the
hard disk and scan again.
Printer is in use or an error has occurred. Check status. • Check the printer status.
The scanner is not available while in use by another application or user. • Close the other application.
