Using the Platen Glass
• To fax a single sheet from the platen glass, you need to remove any documents in
the ADF.
• [Function] must be lit for you to use the [Book Sending] , [Space]
,
[Delete]
,
or [Clear] keys. If [Function] is not lit, press [Function]. However, you do not need
to press [Function] in step 3 to execute the Book Sending mode if <BOOK
SENDING> is programmed in <PROG 1-TOUCH KEY> (from the ADDITIONAL
FUNCTIONS menu). (See “Fax Settings” on p. 6-6.)
1 Press [FAX] to set the machine to the Fax mode.
2 Prepare the document and place it face down on the platen
glass.
• To adjust the resolution, see “Adjusting the Scan Settings,” on p. 3-2.
•
To adjust the contrast, see “Fax Settings,” on p. 6-6.
3 Press [Function].
4 Press [Book Sending].
5 Press [4 ] or [e] to display the document size.
6 Press [Set] ➞ [Function].
[Function] light must be off.
