E-mail settings
Scroll down until you see the [E-mail/I-
Fax Settings] eld, and make sure that:
The correct SMTP server name is
specied.
Also, if your SMTP server uses SMTP
authentication, make sure that:
[SMTP Authentication (SMTP AUTH)] is
set to [On].
The user name is specied.
The password is set.
Click [Network] in the [Device] menu.
Click [Change].
Click [OK].
Turn OFF the machine’s main
power switch, wait at least 10
seconds, then turn it ON.
After the machine is restarted:
Try to send an e-mail.
Try to store documents.
If you still have trouble:
Go to Troubleshooting.
Make any necessary
corrections.

Steps 1 to 4 in this section only apply to E-mail settings.
