Cause Remedy
##1088 [TX/RX] Incompatible destination
• Check the model and the communication
mode (G4, G3, TEL) of the other party,
and start a communication once again.
• Print out a communications analysis list,
and analyze it.
• Contact the telephone company or the ex-
change manufacturer to find out the nature
of cause number #88.
• Ask the operator of the other party to dis-
connect other terminals from the line, and
start a communication once again.
• Print out a communications analysis list,
and analyze it.
• Contact the telephone company or the ex-
change manufacturer to find out the nature
of cause number #88.
• Cause number #88 (Incompatible destina-
tion) arrived from the network. The other
party is set to a call mode different from
the machine.
• A different terminal responded, but it is
bus-connected to the other party.

• Cause number #89 (Lane busy) arrived
