Reset the Camera
When setting up for a new shoot, performing a full reset of All Settings on
the camera is advisable. This clears any previous settings, and returns the
camera to a known, factory-default state. This is especially important if you’re
not certain of all settings from its most recent use.
To Reset All Settings on the Camera:
[System Setup] > [Reset] > [All Settings] > [OK]
Set the Date, Time and Language
It is important to set the date and time and time zone correctly on the
camera before you start using it. When the time and date are not set or the
lithium button battery is depleted, the [Set Clock/Date/Time] screen will
appear automatically with the time zone selected when you turn on the camera.
Setting Date and Time should be done immediately after a full reset, when the
lithium button battery fails, or can be done after the initial setup:
To Set the Date and Time:
[System Setup] > [Time Zone]
[System Setup] > [Set Clock] > [Date/Time] and [Date Format]
