3Selecting an AF Point
Display the desired AF point in
red.
See the diagram on the left on how
the AF point selection changes with
the <3> button.
When you press the <3> button to
switch from automatic AF point
selection to manual AF point
selection, the selection will start with
the center AF point.
Display all AF points in red.
When you try to select an AF point
beyond a peripheral AF point,
automatic focusing selection will be
set.
• C.Fn-10-1 can disable the AF point from flashing in red. (p.87)
• C.Fn-11-1 enables you to select a AF point directly with the <h> keys
without having to press the <3> button first. (p.87)
• C.Fn-11-2 enables you to select a AF point with the <l> and <u> dials
instead of the <h> keys. (p.87)
• C.Fn-12-1 can make the <3> button switch to the center AF point. (p.88)
