Installation Procedures
• Install the software first before connecting the scanner to the
Macintosh computer.
1. Please have the CanoScan Setup Utility CD-ROM
handy.
2. Make sure that the scanner is not connected to
the computer.
The software should be installed without the scanner being connected
to the computer.
3. Turn on the computer.
4. Place the CanoScan Setup Utility CD-ROM in the
computer drive.
The language selection window will display to allow you to select a
language. Then the CanoScan Setup Utility will start and display the
menu window.
If the CanoScan Setup Utility menu window does not display, double-
click the CD-ROM icon, then the [Setup] icon.
